Bunutan Point Dive Site

Bunutan Point is 10 minutes by jukung boat from Jemeluk Bay. It starts with a gentle sandy slope which often has many different nudibranchs and other macro critters. Visibility is usually good (18-25m) although sometimes there are thermoclines.

Marine Life at Bunutan Point

Starting from the sand slope, you will see an impressively large school of Garden eels at around 12m. After the Garden eels, we would expect to do a gentle drift dive which enables us to effortlessly see amazing Barrel sponges, Blue-spotted rays, beautiful sea fans, schooling Chevron barracudas, Giant trevally, a wide variety of reef fish, and some resident White-tip reef sharks.

During the dry season (July-September), to avoid stronger currents, we need to dive this site around high tide.
